Hello, and welcome to Moosicorn.com. We are undertaking an experiment in living that we’d love to share with you. While building our sustainable dream farm, we will be posting everything we can about the property, construction, green technologies, expenses, lessons learned and people we meet along the way. Read about the idea here , our goals here, or an overview of making it a reality here. You can also begin clicking around on the map below to explore more.

Awesome website Scott and Alex. I really like the loose cartoon style UI. Nice use of mash-up technology. The flickr gallery is brilliant.
Best of luck on the project.
Mike.
Thanks Mike!
Al & Scott, love the project and as always amazing site you two have built to showcase your wonderful progress. We can’t wait to come visit!
Is the writing shack a Yurt? Your website is amazing. Have you done the work yourself? all the art is beautiful and elegant. Very nice!
Nice to hear from you Yak Ranch! Alex says she’s chatted with you on Twitter and Flickr.
The writing shack is still in the concept phase… but my current intention is to build the framework from 2 trees on the property. Use left over construction material for the floor joists and right now I’m considering straw bales for the walls. It’s going to be a hexagon or octagon shaped building with windows and desk space all around and just enough space in the middle to wheel a chair around comfortably. I’ll post design sketches as soon as they are ready.
Regarding the site: We have done the web-work ourselves and appreciate your compliment very much. Alex has done all of the drawings you see, including the logo. We are looking to redesign aspects of it already though, and figure it will always be a constantly evolving project for us.
We’re checking out your site too… really neat. I saw a felted piece done from Yak’s wool/fur? I had no idea. Al is getting into felting a bit, and we’re considering sheep at some point as well. We’d love to drop by next time we’re in Colorado to learn a bit more.
