Wow, were we nervous to speak at Ignite Spokane. For a couple of country dwelling folks who can go a few days without seeing another living soul, we keep finding ourselves on stage!
At Ignite events each speaker is given 5 minutes and 20 slides to say whatever they want. We deviated from the format a little bit, opting to show pretty pics instead of really targeted slides. This helped us ignore our timing some and get something together while we were in the middle of our crazy home-building process.
While we were glad we did it, we think this format is a little too stressful for us. We much prefer an open format with time to meander off topic and interact with and field questions from the audience.
