Our latest visit to Moosicorn Ranch will be the last time we call time spent there a “visit.” In 19 days, Moosicorn Ranch will be “home”. We’re beyond excited about making the move.
On our most recent visit we took measurements to help with some last minute details. Above, Scott consults the septic plan before hammering re-bar to mark where we’ll place the tanks.
Then we measured and marked where the drain field will be. We tried to situate it in a way to minimize the impact on existing trees. It looks like we’ll manage not to cut down anything larger than a small sapling. And some of the vegetation is going to be salvaged and transplanted up front.
Scott taped out the dimensions of a tiled platform for the wood burning stove. We tried to make it big enough to accommodate a small wood pile and tools, but not too big that it encroaches on our (small) living space.
And lastly, we took a moment to enjoy the sun, the clouds, the trees, and our soon-to-be new home.
I love the girl in the white hat. mommer

19 days, how cool! Fill your Census form out before you go. They might not find you out there! Love, Mom
