Last night at about 8:30 my current employer sent out the following email:

“As of April 2, Scott Mueller will be leaving Westcott. Scott and Alex have decided the time is right to take the next step towards their dream; to relocate full time to the sustainable homestead in Spokane.

In our nearly four years together, Scott has championed or enthusiastically assisted many of the elements that define us today in the Puget Sound housing market. He has also simultaneously invested in many of us as individuals and demonstrated a sincere interest in us all. I have nothing but gratitude for Scott and consider our company and myself better for the association.

Do not fear though – Scott will continue to assist us in many capacities and this will not be “good-bye.” Also, I would encourage everyone to follow their progress on www.moosicorn.com. Join me in thanking Scott (and Alex) and letting him know how much he will be missed; both professionally and personally.”

I was both relieved and excited to see the email come out. Relieved because I no longer had to tiptoe around the subject at work. So very excited because this is one huge step for Alex and I.

Tonight, I am exhausted. I will miss all the folks at Westcott, but am already looking forward to working with them in some new, as of yet undefined capacity. I am hopeful for Moosicorn and Culture Sculptor. I’m nervous that I’ve missed something in all the planning. I’m grateful to have Al and Sadie to welcome me home tonight. In fact, it’s time to pet the dog and dote on the wife. Have a great night.
